  • Total knee replacement, also called total knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure in which the worn out or damaged surfaces of the knee joint are removed and replaced with an artificial prosthesis.

  • Total hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which the damaged cartilage and bone are removed from the hip joint and replaced with artificial components. The main indication for total hip replacement is arthritis.

  • Limb salvage surgery, also called limb-sparing surgery, is a surgical procedure that involves debridement- removal of the injured bone and surrounding tissues and reconstructing them into a functional limb.

  • Periacetabular osteotomy is a surgical procedure to treat a congenital hip condition called hip dysplasia. This involves cutting the acetabulum from the pelvic bone and repositioning it with screws to allow for a better fit of the femoral head.

  • Proximal femoral osteotomy is a surgical procedure that involves cutting and alignment of the upper (proximal) part of the thigh bone, also called the femur.

  • Complex fractures occur when bones break into several small pieces and the surrounding tissueis severely damaged. They are characterized byintense pain, trauma and possible displacement of bones and adjacent tissues.

  • Orthopedic trauma refers to injuries of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, nerves, blood vessels, or related soft tissues that most commonly occur during sports, exercise or any other physical activity.

  • Shoulder arthroplasty or shoulder joint replacement is performed to relieve symptoms of severe shoulder pain and disability due to arthritis. In this surgery, the damaged articulating parts of the shoulder joint are removed and replaced with artificial prostheses.

  • Revision arthroplasty or revision joint arthroplasty is a surgical procedure that replaces a previously implanted artificial joint that has failed, become infected or worn out

  • Fragility fractures are bone fractures that occur as a result of a minor fall or trauma, such as a fall from standing height. These types of fractures are commonly associated with osteoporosis, a condition that weakens the bones and makes them more prone to fractures.

  • Joint infections, also known as septic arthritis, are infections that affect the synovial fluid and tissues that surround the joints. These infections can occur in any joint in the body, but they most commonly affect the knees, hips, and shoulders.
