Fight cancer by stunting its growth

The Cancer and Blood Center is proud to offer chemotherapy cancer treatment to the Kansas City Metro Area. Chemotherapy can be used to treat many types of cancer, as it impairs cancer cells’ ability to divide, invade, and spread; however, this can affect other normal cells in the body, creating side effects. Our highly trained medical oncologists work collaboratively with all of your medical caregivers to ensure you are appropriately monitored throughout treatment and recovery. We will assess your condition, plan whether to use chemotherapy alone, or in combination with other treatments, and manage your side effects. We have a dedicated pain specialist who is available to control types of pain that are more difficult to treat. He is a board-certified pain specialist on-site and ready to assist you in your care if needed.

When something is wrong with your blood, it can affect your total health. That is why it is important for you to know about some of the common blood disorders that may affect you. People may be affected by many different types of blood conditions and blood cancers. Common blood disorders include anemia, and bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, blood clots, and blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Our hematologists and oncologists are experienced, qualified, and constantly on watch to help prevent your cancer from spreading and give you the best possible chance of cure.
